Learn Languages with TPR Method

The acronym T.P.R. literally means Total Physical Response – total physical involvement – that is, a method to aid in learning foreign languages with a “physical” approach rather than the traditional classroom course approach.

LEARNING ENGLISH AND SPANISH WITH THE T.P.R. METHOD.

What we do is identify the main interests of our interlocutor and student (YOU, to be clear) through a preliminary interview, where you will tell us about your passions and what makes you feel most fulfilled.

To achieve this, we will help and guide you, also thanks to our already active proposals (you can find a link below to better identify your areas of interest). Once these “zones” have been identified, we will make sure that your learning path focuses mainly on them.

Therefore, if your passion is beach tennis, your U.S. experience will be strongly focused on practicing beach tennis. Similarly, if you are passionate about technology, we will make sure that you can devote as much time as possible to activities related to digital use.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND FITNESS

In any case, what will NEVER be missing is the TOTAL immersion in the English language, which you will have to learn, manage, and make your own in order to fully enjoy your passion. You will be constantly accompanied by Group Trainers who will take care of your needs. All activities are designed with the aim of developing one or more language skills. New American and English friends, who share your interests and passions, will contribute to improving your vocabulary.

DO YOU WANT TO CELEBRATE? DO YOU WANNA PARTY?

Studying is not just about commitment and dedication, but also moments of leisure and relaxation. Among the Fun Activities, you can also choose how to spend your evenings (nightclubs, fashion shows, themed dinners, karaoke, etc.).

For several years now, we have also devoted particular attention to dance, with which we have activated this particular learning technique.

The journey starts with awareness of the physicality and potential that the person possesses. Insecurities such as low self-esteem and/or non-acceptance of a problem, which lead to rigidity of movement or refusal to show oneself in public, are gradually brought to the surface. Psychological blocks that limit the ability for psycho-physical expression in favor of expressive serenity are then analyzed. We work on posture, opening the diaphragm, and thus on a wider opening of the rib cage. All of these are valuable measures for better oxygenation of the blood, which flows through the brain with “smoothness” and improves mental agility.

Dance therapy promotes psychophysical, relational, and spiritual integration, as well as the well-being and quality of life of the individual.

Why combine dance therapy with the learning/consolidation of foreign languages? Because the Total Physical Response (T.P.R.) method works precisely on the egocentric phase of the human person, who is more inclined to learn what relates to oneself. The practice of a foreign language through a physical activity such as dance combines auditory learning (the language) with physical learning (T.P.R.). For example, an Argentine Tango teacher will give instruction for learning the dance in English and Spanish. Practicing the language on oneself is therefore very effective for learning.

This program falls within the Sports Projects starting from the Early Childhood School, as it involves aerobic and anaerobic activities, motor and breathing coordination, and teaches postural setting from an early age.

Very importantly, especially for students from 6 years old, dance therapy is a sport that works on the individual to avoid episodes of competitiveness and bullying.

Fun And Fitness Language Practice Center © is also a trainer for Italian teachers who adhere to the CLIL Program.

The term CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), created in 1994, is synonymous with “language immersion.” Language immersion is an approach to enhance the teaching of a second language (L2) by using it as a vehicle for learning other content. In schools that use the CLIL method, one or more disciplines are learned by using a second language, different from the students’ mother tongue, who are thus “immersed” in the L2 and use it both to learn sciences, history, geography, and other subjects and to follow interdisciplinary educational paths.

Fun And Fitness Language Practice Center © is therefore also a Training and Updating Center for English (and/or other foreign language) language teachers or other disciplines that require the knowledge of a foreign language.
